About The High Weald Academy Student Council

Part of the way students are represented is through a Student Council. This is made up of representatives from each house group that are nominated by their class mates. The representatives meet regularly during registration period.

“We bring thoughts and ideas to the meeting and discuss them with the other Student Council representatives . We discuss things like ACE (Alternative Curriculum Experience) days, uniform and rewards. The Student Council is a good way of letting students have a say in what happens in school. It’s a good communication channel which encourages students to air their views to the Academy leadership, it looks good on our CVs too!”
