High Weald Academy Students Enjoy Once in a Lifetime Trip to Iceland
High Weald Academy took a fantastic trip to Iceland over the February half term, with 23 of our Year 11 to 13 students.
Time was spent in the snowy landscape exploring glaciers, volcanoes and waterfalls. Mr Welch led the trip and the students were great ambassadors for the school. Swimming in the Blue Lagoon in hot springs surrounded by snow was magical!
This was truly a once in a lifetime trip and we had an amazing time. Evenings were spent eating out, ice skating and generally chilling in the Bus Hostel. Everyone got along famously and was wowed by the dramatic landscapes. Trips to such wonderful places help to expand the mind, give students an opportunity to see some of the things they been studying for real which will help them in their exams as well as in life. Well done one and all!
