HWA Student Shortlisted for Prestigious Science Research Project
We are proud to announce that Loughlin Cooper, one of our Year 12 students, has been shortlisted for the Nuffield Science Research Placement.
Nuffield Research Placements provide over 1,000 students each year with the opportunity to work alongside professional scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians. Students in the first year of a post-16 science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) course are eligible to apply. Placements are available across the UK, in universities, commercial companies, voluntary organisations and research institutions. There is a rigorous application and selection process and we are delighted that Loughlin has been selected for a placement. He will find out more in July and we look forward to him being able to work with a University or scientific business on his research project over the summer.
