The High Weald Academy

A Brook Learning Trust Academy

You're invited to tour the new academy

Today, Friday 29th November 2019, the Head of School, Mrs Lisa Barker, for The High Weald Academy is inviting the Weald community; academy neighbours, community groups, local businesses, parents and prospective parents to come and explore their new 21st century building and see all that they are doing to enable students to achieve their personal best.

Starting from Friday 6 December 2019, the new school building will be open to the Weald community every Friday morning from 10am to 11am to explore the academy whilst in session on a guided tour led by Mrs Barker. To attend a guided tour, members of the community will need to book by completing an online booking form via the academy’s website:

The new academy building is now one of the most state of the art learning environments in the area and boasts 69 climate controlled classrooms and offices, which includes eight science laboratories, three art rooms, five ICT suites and the purpose built drama studio.

Lisa Barker said: “We are delighted to have moved into our new school and are very much enjoying and benefitting from our modern and up-to-date surroundings. I would personally like to thank everyone involved, who I know worked tirelessly to ensure we were set-up and ready to go.

“We are extremely proud to be an all ability community school. The new building has secured a quality learning environment for our students at the academy now and for generations of local children to come.   I believe the new school has created a platform for us to build and strengthen our relationship with the community, which is key to moving the academy forward and ensuring our students leave prepared for their lives ahead.”

The weekly guided tours provide a great opportunity to speak to Head of School and find out more about student life at The High Weald Academy.  We look forward to warmly welcoming you soon.
